ICE
We decided to stop by the Gaylord Texan at the ICE exhibit after we returned from the Tyler wedding. I thought it was a very cool exhibit for the price! I was fascinated by the ice sculptures and how long it takes for the artists to put the exhibit together. It was a bit freezing for Elizabeth but she did enjoy the colors and lights!

2nd Anniversary Trip to SeaWorld San Antonio

The Friday after Thanksgiving we packed up the car which was no easy feate and left for San Antonio around 1:30. By 6:30 we arrived at the Hyatt Place downtown. It was so nice! We unpacked and let Elizabeth stretch out for a while. Then Tyler made reservations at Rosario's. That was a nice stroll and I'm glad he made reservations because the wait was long. We began ordering and Elizabeth was asleep. Half way through our meal the house band began to play and it was so loud that Elizabeth woke up. That was our cue to leave. We took the rest of my meal To Go and headed back to the hotel. The rest of the night was time for TV and getting ready for SeaWorld.
Saturday morning I woke up at 5am. Elizabeth and Tyler woke up at 8am. We got everything ready and headed down to breakfast. We were out the door by 9:45 which was on Tyler's schedule. We arrived at SeaWorld by 10:15 am and were in the park. We had so much fun!! We began the park experience with a picture in front of the big tree. Then we headed over to the first souvenir shop and purchased a shamu and beluga whale. Then we went to the Clyde and Seamore event. That was really cute! Next we headed to 4D Polar Express movie. It was an 18 min clip which I figured we could do easily. On the way in we heared Elizabeth make a few noises. I figure it isn't anything big so I didn't really worry. Then we heard a few more noises. I wasn't really thinking about what we were doing when we decided to sit in the middle of the aisle with a baby that was pooping. 5 min into the movie I finally realize how bad this could be and then figure if we just sit really still it won't be so bad. After the movie we grab the stroller and began stripping Elizabeth down trying to keep her protected from the wind. Turns out she had a major blowout and it was everywhere. So we did a change of diaper and clothes. Thankfully I had brought in the big box of wipes! Then we went to the alligator swamp when I realized that I needed to either pump or nurse Elizabeth. Honestly, I'm not quite comfortable nursing Elizabeth in public and I wasn't about to pump in the restroom. So I ran out to the car. That was an experience all by itself. I get back in the park and we head to the Viva! beluga whale show. That was really neat. After that we decided to get some lunch and then go to the Shamu experience with carolers. That was fantastic!! During that show we ran out of battery in our camera and I figured out how to use my phone camera. It takes pretty good pictures. We had a few hours downtime before the surprise for the night. We took pictures with the Clydesdale horse, fed the dolphins and watched Santa swim with the Sharks. (Santa isn't too bright to be in a shark tank with a red suit on.) Then it was time for the surprise..... Dining with Shamu. It was so cool! We had a gourmet buffet and one of the killer whales came right up to our tables. We got some great pictures! That was my most favorite part of the park. Tyler out did himself on this trip! On the way out of the park Tyler picked up what I thought was going to be one package. Nope we went home with 6 bags. Yep....he had purchased 5 more stuffed animals for Elizabeth, a coffee cup for me, a dolphin statue for me, and frames for the house while I was pumping. I realized this once we were back in the hotel. He is so sweet! And we got back home around 7:30. I was craving Starbucks Pumpkin Spice coffee so we got redressed and headed out again. Only this took a lot longer that I figured it would. By 10 pm we finally had our coffee and set off to see the Alamo during the night. It was really beautiful!
Sunday..... I woke up again at 5am. Elizabeth woke up at 8am. Tyler woke up at 9:30 after much pushing from me. We left the hotel around 11:30 and went to the Alamo for a picture. Then we headed off to New Braunfels to see NEWKS. (The Tennis Academy Tyler went to in HS) After an hour of driving around, Tyler finally realized that NEWKS was located in Gruene, TX. I'd never been there and had always wanted to go. We ate at the Gristmill which was really good! We had the best ribs!! Then we took a few pictures around the town and even one with Cowboy Kringle. It is adorable!! I think it will be our Christmas picture.
We finally arrived home at 10pm after spending lots of time in traffic. Such a fun weekend!!

2 month checkup
Today was Elizabeth's 2 month checkup. She is above the 50% group. Her weight is 11 lbs and 3 oz. Her length is 21.65 in. She had 3 shots today which were not fun for Mommy or Elizabeth. But she is doing fine.
New things:
cooing
mimicking faces
watching tv with Mommy and Daddy
gripping blankets and pacifier holder
trying to hold bottle
smiling
enjoys baths
loves her cousins
looking out the window as we drive
This has definitely become a favorite stage for Mommy. Elizabeth is so much fun and learning new things every day. We love to watch her observe her world!

New project... Bows!
So you know all of the cute bows that Mommies buy for their girls? They are freakin' expensive!! So I've decided to make them for Elizabeth. I think I've figured it out. I'm going shopping for materials tonight and will post what I end up with. If they look good I'm going to put them up for sale.
Happy 1st Halloween!
Our Tootsie Roll
"My 1st Halloween" bib was given to Elizabeth by Cheryl Wossom.

Aunt Rosemary and our Tootsie Roll
Tyler was a great sport in the Hershey Kiss costume!
We had a great 1st Halloween as a family! We began the holiday the weekend before at Hank's 1st birthday bash. It was a blast! Then we celebrated the entire week with family and ended up spending Halloween at home handing out candy to 2 groups of kids and 3 groups of teens. We had a blast and can't wait to go Trick or Treating next year with Elizabeth!

2nd Anniversary
Today is our 2nd anniversary. Yes we have been married for 2 years. It seems longer at times and shorter at other times. We had agreed that Elizabeth was our anniversary present to each other. So I was planning on a card and something sweet for Tyler. We also haven't planned much for tonight except to stay home and enjoy our family. (Tyler has planned on going to Sea World San Antonio after Thanksgiving for our anniversary. That will be fun!)
So I arrive at the office and Tyler and emailing me to see how things are. That was not unusual since we always email each other during the day. However right after he asked, the doorbell rang and it was a delivery of beautiful roses and lilies for me and an angel bear for Elizabeth. Tyler is the sweetest Husband and Daddy!

Baby Shower Gift..... unknown giver
At our shower in August we received a Frog Pod and faucet cover. There wasn't a name on the gift and no one claimed the gift at the shower. If anyone knows who gave it to us please let me know. I'd really like to send a thank you note. Thanks!

I'm 1 month today!

Happy 1 month birthday Elizabeth!!
We went to Elizabeth's 1 month Dr's appointment today. She is now 8 lbs 4 oz and 21.6" long. Dr. Bruce was very happy with how she is developing!
Elizabeth has begun to really focus on faces, lines, shapes, and motion. She watches me when she nurses and the fan afterwards. She smiles while sleeping and likes to hold Ty's and my fingers.
The sweater and bonnet were crocheted by my Grandma for Elissa and me from my Dad's baby blanket. It is a cold day and fit perfectly for the weather and Elizabeth's size. She is our living doll!

Final Weight Check!
On Friday we went in for another weight check. Last Friday Elizabeth weighed 6 lbs 9.8 oz. We were told that she is supposed to gain 3 oz a day. I've been taking Fenugreek twice a day which has really helped my suppy. She has been eating every two hours during the day. I knew she had gained some weight because she is heavier and her body is filling out. I wasn't sure how much. So I was a bit nervous when we visited Nurse Linda. It turns out all of the nursing has really helped. Elizabeth gained 10 oz in 7 days! Nurse Linda was really impressed and I was ecstatic! We did it! Elizabeth is past her birth weight!! I'm so happy!!
