Emily is 5 months!

Weight ~ 13 lbs 8 oz

Length - 24 in?

Emily is wearing 3 - 6 mth clothes. The length fits but the body is swallowed.

She loves:

to suck on her thumb and first finger

watch us when we do almost anything

play with Elizabeth (let Lizzy hug and kiss on her and bring her toys)

just started the exersaucer. loves the lights and music but still too short to stand up.

is beginning to sit up on her own in my lap and the bumbo.

March photos of Elizabeth

These were all taken on my phone and there are a lot more on our camera but this is a glimpse of March.
Did you ever know a slide could be so much fun for three?

Climibing up the rockwall. Elizabeth has the most AMAZING balance! Aaaargh! She is wearing one of Emily's caps......LOL New outfit and she LOVES the hat and sandals!
Yep her hair is rolled in socks for curls!

I used to do this when I had really long hair.

It works so well when you don't want to use a curling iron or hot rollers

Hand impressions

Lately I've been having these weird emotional bouts with Emily growing up. I mean I knew this was going to happen and I'm very excited to watch her change but it has been more difficult for me than I had imagined. I've packed away a bin of newborn clothes that were very special to me for when both girls have children. (Hopefully one of them will have a girl.) And I've begun taking video and pictures of every moment so I can remember how sweet and cute Emily is.

As I was thinking about what I wanted to do differently in Emily's room, I decided to do hand impressions.

For Emily I did one hand and one foot because they are soooo tiny! This is at 4 mths.

And fortunately Elizabeth's hand fits just perfectly at 2 yrs!
Yes this was all done just for me and my memories! I will cherish these impressions forever!

New bedrooms for everyone!

Ok so after we found out we were expecting Emily we put our house on the market because I was certain we needed another bedroom. I grew up with my own room and since we just got Elizabeth to take good naps and go to bed at a decent time, I didn't want to disturb her sleeping when Emily woke up. So after about 6 months of no interest in our sweet home we decided the only logical solution was to build on. HA HA HA HA.......that is when I became the contractor at 6 mths pregnant. I mean why not add one more thing to my list right???? But we did pretty well and a week after Emily was born our room was mostly finished. Now that Emily is 4 mths old I realized that I've never finished her room because she wasn't really living in it and I needed to do this so I wouldn't go CRAZY (as my wonderful husband has lately witnessed. : )) So follow me through the new rooms....

I kept it the same theme of the ocean because I LOVE this look!
The only difference is her name is now on the wall and a few pictures have been changed.
Oh I did add stenciled shells to her letters with the help of Ella.
Same as before except there use to be a door where
Elizabeth's dedication frame is hung.

I plan on adding Emily's dedication picture and certificate next to Elizabeth's.

This was the very 1st item that designated this room to be Emily's!
Tyler bought it when I was in the hospital and had it hanging on the door when we arrived home.

Now Elizabeth got our old room. After taking out our
old bed and nightstands I realized there was A LOT Of room.
So we put in the twin bed, kept one of the nightstands, and added all of her toys.
The theme is Tinkerbell and friends. (Can you see the fairies?)
Oh and the border at the top of her walls is the art she has done this year.

I also left the dresser because she has lots of clothes and we didn't have to buy new furniture.

Yep...she also has our old TV but it fits.
And now for Our new bedroom.........................
Drum Roll please....................................

Once Tyler talked me into building on vs doing a garage conversion he let me design the room.
I've always wanted a king bed so we picked out the furniture and then fit the room.
The colors are inspired from the quilt that we purchased on our 1st anniversary in Ireland.
The wood floor install was compliments of Mom and Dad. (Thank you! We love it!!)

And of course we had to have a BIG TV so we could
spend the weekend mornings in bed with everyone.

My walk-in closet that I share with Tyler.... ; )
This was the 2nd thing I've always wanted in my bedroom so I planned it.
Since I already have the bathroom of my dreams and the girls share it with me,
I figured it was time for Tyler to have his bathroom!

That shower is HUGE!!!
The glass door was compliments of Mom and Dad again to Tyler for Christmas!

Even though this is Tyler's bathroom I still decided on the fixtures...... ; )
Isn't this a cool bathroom!?!?!?!

Oh and do you remember where the house ended before?

Our bedroom door was the back of the house.
This hallway was the old extremely small bathroom that was part of the baby room.

Helping Daddy plant a bush

I'm 4 months old!

I'm now 4 mths old and my Mommy keeps asking herself "where has the time gone?". I'm 12 lbs 4.6 oz and 23" long. Dr Bruce considers me to be petite. I've also had my 1st cold but it only lasted 4 days. I'm sleeping much better through the night and giving Mommy more smiles during the day. She loves my smiles!
Tonight I just began reaching out for the parrot on my bouncy and can hold onto it! This made Mommy so excited that she had to take pictures. : ) Everyone thinks I'm going to have strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes. I look more like my Daddy with some faces but then I look like my Mommy too. I think I'm a good blend! Oh and I can raise my left eyebrow like my Pappaw! That is pretty cool!!

See I'm holding on to the blue parrot and pushing it.

Peaceful
New Things I like to do:
Suck on my thumb and first finger
Stare at anything
Laugh when I'm tickled
Wake up smiling
Sleep almost all the way through the night
Watch "Finding Nemo"
Watch the mobile on my swing but just for a while
Have Mommy carry me everywhere
Sit in Daddy or Mommy's lap while watching tv with them
Spin around on the exercise mat
Listen to Mommy sing while she gets me dressed
Coo at anyone who will coo back to me
Get hugs and kisses from Lizzie.

Goofing off with Daddy

We love our pizza!

Fun playtime with Ella

Since Elizabeth turned 2 she has really begun to enjoy "Playtime" and learning to share. Thankfully we live very close to her cousins who see her almost everyday and she LOVES them!! So lately once a week either Ella or Edie comes over to play with her. This time it was Ella and she did the whole dressup thing and pretend cooking food game. Both things that Elizabeth loves!!! I'm very grateful that our family is so close and we can share such wonderful times together!

Ella is GREAT babysitter for Emily!! She comes to my rescue when I need a moment to finish something. And Emily loves her too!!

Valentine's Night

This was the first Valentine's Day for our family of four. I didn't go to TMEA this year because Emily was too small and there wasn't daycare for Elizabeth at the show. So this year we were able to celebrate as a family. Tyler let me pick the dinner, movies and gift for the kids. (Well I just picked the gifts and told him I had them. : )) So for this great evening we celebrated with Italian, watched "Finding Nemo" (because Elizabeth actually picked the movie) and then played with the toys. It was a great night!

Elizabeth's first time to eat at her table tray and she knew exactly what to do. Mimi we love the tray! Oh and you can see the Tinkerbell "loon" of Elizabeth's. She loves Tink and balloons!

Emily's 1st Valentine's present......A Turtle.

Elizabeth's 2nd present...Mr. Potatoe Head Valentine's style.

Just a happy baby!
