Mother's Day 2009

What a great day!!  Well actually, we celebrated the Saturday night before.  Mommy made chuck roast, potatoes, and carrots.  Mimi make spinach, green beans, squash, and rolls.  Elissa made a wonderful salad and brought over dessert.  We honored Mammy, Grandma, and Mimi Vickie by using their china.  Mommy received a beautiful ceramic flower painted by Edie and Ella, a massage from Aunt Elissa, and a swim suit from Mimi.  

The next day, on Mother's Day, I was dedicated at Church.  Mommy sent in my Easter picture which was displayed during every service.  Then we went to the front of the church congregation and Mommy and Daddy were given a small bible and certificate which states they dedicated me to the Lord on May 10, 2009. 

It was a very special day for all of us!

First time to swim.... kind of

So we haven't posted in a while because Mommy's been REALLY busy!!!  This was the 11th annual Pride of Texas Music Festival.  According to Mommy, Mimi, Papa, and Daddy it went really well!  Mommy had to postpone the first week of festival due to the Swine Flu overreaction.  But she was able to move it to the last week in May.  Since I'm not old enough to be in daycare Mommy took me with her.  She tried her best to pay attention to me and was very good at it while still being able to greet her customers and make sure they were attended to.  The first week was in Dallas at Amazing Jake's.  That is a fun place!  The second week was at Austin's Park N' Pizza.  That was interesting because we had to go up and down an elevator.  The third week was at Alley Cats Bowl.  That was lots of fun because the staff loved me!  I basically sat in my stroller all day and got to hear the music, see the people, and soak in some sun.  It was great!!  And I was so good for Mommy and she was so proud of me.

New Things:

Top two teeth are breaking through.

I love to drink from a cup and straw.

I'm beginning to scoot and learn to get up on my knees.

I love Papa's pen and glasses

I love to grab ahold of anything and hold on.

I'm tickelish.

I love to play in the pool.

Oh and now I weigh 20.9 lbs at 8 months
